The Forth Bridges Men’s Shed (FBMS) provides a community space for men of all ages from Queensferry and Kirkliston to connect, converse and create, and enjoy time together. The aim is to meet up with old friends, make new friends, have fun doing things together, and in doing so reduce loneliness or isolation.

Our activities include woodwork, cooking, providing services to local causes such as bench refurbishment in Queensferry Cemetary, building mud kitchens at Echline Primary School, and other good causes – or just playing pool and other games!. We have many ideas for future activity with a wealth of varied experience amongst our membership, we just need to make it happen!

We meet every Wednesday from 10am to around 1pm in the Queensferry Community Cafe in School Lane, with a light lunch provided at 12pm for about £2.

We also have a workshop based at Hallyards Farm in Kirkliston, near Edinburgh Airport.

The FBMS is associated with the wider Scottish Men’s Sheds Association (the SMSA) whose sole focus is supporting Scotland’s Shedders and their supporters to create Men’s Sheds in their community to benefit their health and wellbeing. We are Scottish Registered Charity SC051057.

If you would like to join Forth Bridges Men’s Shed or find out more about us before committing to being a member, you are very welcome to pop in and see us any Wednesday. Stay for coffee or a light lunch and have a chat. There will always be someone ready to listen to your life experience, and to share something of their own.
